Behaviour Change

Behaviour change can stem from a number of logical or illogical mood disorders. For instance, people with mental disorders or individuals going through menopause may experience a series of unusual mood swings that cannot be so easily defined. There have been increased concerns among professionals in the medical and criminal division concerning the behaviour changes seem among people in different settings.

No one can pinpoint exactly why someone will laugh uncontrollably one minute, and break out in a crying spell the next minute. Human behaviour is very unpredictable and science is looking for some answers. Theories have been cited as to why people experience certain emotions during sadness, sickness, happiness, or without any probable cause.

As weird as it may seem behaviour change can be modified. For example, children who exhibit undesirable behaviours in a classroom setting can have their behaviour changed through a process called ‘redirection’. Redirection replaces inappropriate behaviour with appropriate behaviour, but it does take time. This process can go on for an undefined length of time.

Prisons are said to be a modification tool for criminals. Whether or not this is true depends on the person once they get out of prison. The point is behaviour change can and do stem for situations that cannot always be explained. A better alternative to prison is online training.
